Due to the situation concerning the denial of entry for citizens of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates, negotiations took place between representatives of both countries. Bakhramjon Aloyev, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Said Matar Al-Kemzi. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, issues regarding the development of political, trade-economic, and investment relations between the two nations were discussed. The parties also exchanged views on the difficulties faced by Uzbek citizens attempting to enter the United Arab Emirates in recent days. An agreement was reached to implement appropriate measures for the prompt resolution of the current situation.
It is worth noting that earlier, 31 citizens of Uzbekistan were denied entry to the United Arab Emirates for unknown reasons. The men were detained, and intensified checks were initiated, reportedly for security purposes, keeping individuals in the transit zone and preventing them from leaving the airport.
The situation has raised concerns among both the citizens and government authorities.
