The Republic of Uzbekistan has once again provided humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. According to information disseminated by the press service of the Surkhandarya regional administration, a shipment containing food and medical supplies has been delivered to Afghanistan. This initiative is being carried out under the directive of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The authorities in Surkhandarya region specified that the humanitarian cargo is intended for the residents of Balkh province. In addition to supplying essential food and medicines, Uzbekistan is organizing free medical examinations for the population of Balkh. From December 25 to 30, qualified doctors from Uzbekistan will conduct check-ups for local residents.
To implement this program, a specialized "health train" has been deployed, consisting of nine carriages equipped with necessary medical and sanitary equipment. This initiative will enable the residents of the province to access qualified medical care. Uzbekistan's humanitarian assistance plays a significant role in supporting the Afghan population under challenging conditions.
