In his address, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan tackled pressing issues in global politics. He reaffirmed the country's commitment to resolving the Middle Eastern crisis, calling for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem, based on the borders of 1967, in accordance with international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The head of state paid considerable attention to the situation in Afghanistan. He highlighted the necessity of supporting the current government, integrating Afghanistan into regional economic ties, and implementing social programs and infrastructure development projects in the country.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan identified priority areas for economic cooperation within the TSO. He proposed the preparation of agreements to eliminate tariff and non-tariff barriers to stimulate trade relations among member states. Additionally, he suggested signing a multilateral agreement to transition to electronic document circulation in the field of freight transportation and the mutual recognition of these documents within the Organization. In the head of state's view, this would simplify trade operations and enhance logistics efficiency.
In the realm of environmental protection, the President of Uzbekistan called for the acceleration of the establishment of the Turkic Environmental Council at the ministerial level to collaboratively address ecological issues and promote sustainable "green" development in the region.
