The Hokim of Surkhandarya Region, Ulugbek Kosimov, awarded the deputies of the regional hokim and the hokims of cities and districts. Monetary rewards were allocated in honor of January 14 — Defender of the Fatherland Day.

By the hokim's decision, a total of 661 million sums were designated for the awards to the deputies and the hokims of cities and districts. Specifically, 201 million 250 thousand sums were allocated for the awards to 7 deputies of the regional hokim, while 28 million 750 thousand were designated for the deputy hokim responsible for family and women's issues. For the hokims of Termez and the districts of the region, 431 million 250 thousand sums were allocated.

It's worth noting that on social media, Uzbeks have expressed dissatisfaction with the allocation of such large sums as rewards for the holiday.
