An extraordinary conference of the Uzbekistan Shooting Sports Federation took place in the meeting hall of the National Olympic Committee.
The meeting addressed issues related to promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth, creating necessary infrastructure, and fostering favorable conditions for sports activities, as well as the development plan for shooting sports in the country.
The agenda included a report on the activities carried out by the federation. Following this, the candidacy of Major General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, the Minister of Defense, was proposed for the position of federation chairman, which was unanimously approved by the delegates.
The newly elected head of the federation presented a brief outline of the activities that are to be implemented moving forward.
In particular, he announced plans to construct shooting complexes equipped with modern facilities in various regions and the intention to organize shooting competitions for the military, such as the "Sniper Cup," as well as other national championships for youth.
Khalmukhamedov also emphasized that the federation's main focus will be on obtaining licenses for participation in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, as well as on securing prize-winning positions for our athletes.
