A new head has been appointed for the Uzbekistan Swimming Federation.

An extraordinary reporting and election conference of the Swimming Federation of Uzbekistan took place, where the issue of appointing a new head of the federation was discussed.

The candidacy of Kudratilla Rafikov, the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, was unanimously approved by the delegates present at the event.

During the conference, the federation's plan for preparation for the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028 was discussed, including the recruitment of foreign coaches for the national teams and a more thorough selection of talented athletes.

The previous head of the federation, Kuvondik Sanakulov, left his position due to his appointment as the head of the Handball Federation.
