New leaders have been appointed to the Tennis Federation and the Winter Sports Association of Uzbekistan.

Extraordinary electoral conferences were held at the National Olympic Committee for three sports federations. The appointment of entrepreneur Botir Rakhimov as the new chairman of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation was unanimously approved, along with Alisher Mirsoatov as the head of the Winter Sports Association, as reported by the press service of the NOC.

Botir Rakhimov has led the Pakhtakor football club for many years. The appointments occurred following the transition of former chairman A. Mirsoatov to the position of head of the Association of Winter Sports.

During the conference, Akmalkhuzha Mavlonov, the chairman of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was elected as the head of the Federation, while Otabek Choriyev, Andrey Abduvaliev, and Kamolidin Usmanov were appointed as vice-chairmen, and Kamolidin Ruzmuhammedov became the general secretary of the organization.

Additionally, new charters for the organizations were approved, and further tasks were outlined in preparation for the Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina 2026 and the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028.
