According to the association's press service, 14 players will compete for this award in 2024. Out of the 14 candidates for the title of "Footballer of the Year," 13 are members of the Uzbekistan national team, with the only exception being Anvarjon Khojimirzaev, a forward from the Dynamo club, who was not called up by head coach Srecko Katanec.
