The award ceremony for the "Ballon d'Or 2024" took place in Paris. The best player in the world has been announced, along with winners in several other categories.

The top award went to Rodri Hernandez, a midfielder for Manchester City and the Spanish national team.

The 28-year-old player won the European Championship with his national team last season and was named the tournament's best player. Rodri also secured the Premier League title with Manchester City.

The top five included three players from Real Madrid — Vinicius Junior (2), Jude Bellingham (3), Dani Carvajal (4), and Manchester City forward Erling Haaland (5).

Among women, the Ballon d'Or was awarded for the second consecutive year to Barcelona player Aitana Bonmati.
