In the weight category up to 109 kg, Nurutdinov secured fifth place in the snatch, lifting 182 kg. However, in the clean and jerk, he showcased exceptional skill by lifting 242 kg, which allowed him to break his own world record set three years ago in Tashkent.
Ruslan's total result was 424 kg, and no other athletes were able to surpass this achievement, earning him his third world championship title in the combined event.
In the snatch, gold was also claimed by Uzbekistan's Sharofiddin Amriddinov. He lifted 212 kg in the clean and jerk, which earned him sixth place, while his overall result of 396 kg secured fifth place. Despite this, all gold medals in this weight category went to the representatives of the Uzbekistan team.
Thus, the Uzbekistan team concluded the World Championship with 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
