The Pakhtakor Stadium is being renovated to meet FIFA standards.

The stadium of the Pakhtakor Football Club is set to undergo reconstruction in accordance with FIFA standards. This announcement was made by the club's chairman, Jahongir Artykhojaev, during a press conference with journalists.

"Reconstruction of the "Pakhtakor" stadium will begin in spring. It will meet FIFA standards. After that, we will host home games," - said Artykhojaev.

During the press conference, the appointment of Portuguese specialist Pedro Moreira as the new head coach of the club was also announced.

"I thank the previous coach. I know this season has been tough. I am trying to bring a new style and ideas to "Pakhtakor." I liked the vision for the future of the club," said Moreira.

A contract has been signed with the new head coach on a 1+1 scheme, and he will be assisted by four compatriots.

Former head coach of "Pakhtakor," Maxim Shatskikh, will continue to work as an advisor to the chairman.

Previously, Moreira worked as an assistant to Paulo Fonseca at "Roma" and "Shakhtar," and also managed the youth team of "Sporting."
