Two-time Olympic champion in WT taekwondo Ulugbek Rashitov has been recognized as the best taekwondo athlete in the world for the year 2024. The corresponding award was presented to our compatriot during the World Poomsae Championships taking place in Hong Kong. This was reported by the press service of the NOC.
It is noted that he received this status as a result of a global voting process.
The NOC also highlighted that Uzbek taekwondo athletes have won such a prestigious trophy at the global level for the first time.
“Until now, none of our compatriots have received such recognition from the World Taekwondo Federation,” the message states.
