Portuguese coach Pedro Moreira has been appointed as the new head coach of the football club Pakhtakor. This was announced by the club's press service.

"I thank the previous coach. I know this season has been challenging. I will strive to bring a new style and ideas to 'Pahktakor.' I liked the vision for the future of the club," - said Moreira.

A contract has been signed with the new head coach on a 1+1 scheme, and he will be assisted by four compatriots.

"My philosophy and the team's philosophy are similar. Every game is important to us, and in each upcoming match, we will fight for victory. This way, we will achieve a global result," - emphasized the coach.

Former head coach of 'Pahktakor,' Maxim Shatskikh, will continue to work as an advisor to the club's chairman.

Previously, Moreira worked as an assistant to Paulo Fonseca at 'Roma' and 'Shakhtar,' and also led the youth team of 'Sporting.'
